| For-Profit Applications and Guidelines |

| For-profit organizations may ONLY apply for funding under the Access to Capital category. |
|
| For-profit organizations, including social enterprises and co-operatives, are invited to apply for repayable financing up to $250,000 on commercial terms through loans from Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs). Interest rates and loan terms will be determined for each individual applicant. (Conditions may include no repayment for a defined period; interest payments only for a defined period; interest and capital repayments after the loan period, etc.) The loan may be used as subordinated debt to encourage leveraging from other lending sources. |

| The Sand Plains Community Development Fund has a two-stage application process: (1) Pre-Proposal and (2) Business Loan Application. |

| (1) Pre-Proposal — will include a cover sheet, narrative and budget. |
|
| First, read the For-Profit Applicant Guidelines to determine if your organization is eligible to apply and your project is covered under the descriptions of Projects That Qualify and Priority Areas. |

| Contact the office of your local Community Futures Development Corporation. |
|
| Prepare and submit a Pre-Proposal Application Form For-Profit Organizations to the CFDC staff. |
|
| Meet with the CFDC staff to discuss your pre-proposal. |

| (2) Business Loan Application |
|
| Applicants will be required to submit a Business Loan Application to the CFDC which includes a completed business plan and CFDC loan application (personal statement of affairs, business bank/credit information, business assets, disclosure and release statement, cash flow, income statement and cash flow assumptions, acknowledgement of CFDC privacy statement). |
