For-Profit Applications and Guidelines
For-profit organizations may ONLY apply for funding under the Access to Capital category.
For-profit organizations, including social enterprises and co-operatives, are invited to apply for repayable financing up to $250,000 on commercial terms through loans from Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs). Interest rates and loan terms will be determined for each individual applicant. (Conditions may include no repayment for a defined period; interest payments only for a defined period; interest and capital repayments after the loan period, etc.) The loan may be used as subordinated debt to encourage leveraging from other lending sources.
The Sand Plains Community Development Fund has a two-stage application process:  (1) Pre-Proposal and (2) Business Loan Application.
(1) Pre-Proposal — will include a cover sheet, narrative and budget.
First, read the For-Profit Applicant Guidelines to determine if your organization is eligible to apply and your project is covered under the descriptions of Projects That Qualify and Priority Areas.
Contact the office of your local Community Futures Development Corporation.
Prepare and submit a Pre-Proposal Application Form For-Profit Organizations to the CFDC staff.
Meet with the CFDC staff to discuss your pre-proposal.
Where to apply:
Applicants whose projects are deemed eligible under the Access to Capital category will consult with the nearest office:
